Stardrift Empires Discussion / Re: Is This the end of TCBO1

This is a WAR game ync, take your lumps and move on down the road. Helping players out doesnt mean they can be purchased. Duke and Rabid Dog can play however they like as long as rules arent violated. It seems you needed to be taught a lesson that everyone who plays learns from time to time, If you leave ships out and someone smashes, shame on you. No need for all the drama and threats in RL. I have quite a few players pissed at me and vise versa but i would never take it to that level ync. It stops being a game and consider yourself fortunate that BFG did not act punitively

The other day i launched zeus on a big npc, i dispatched dions 4 seconds behind the attack, i witnessed the attack complete abnd 4 seconds later the harvest mission did its job. The harvesters only got 22k in crystal from the destroyed probes and managed nothing else. Wasted almost 2mil in hydro and many hours resending harvesters. Not sure what happened.

I tend to agree with Jacks, this game is very fun once you know how to play it well ;-)

I have a couple of suggestions for the titan. This may put more profit and ease into the PVP aspect of the game. Here goes

     1. Make the titan readily deployable from the moon fully loaded with the hydrogen cost of only the titan. Example being having a fully loaded titan moving from moon to the next galaxy with the base cost of just over one million in hydro.

     2. Make the titan cloaked and unnoticed when it arrives at target until the player selects the titan, then the titan will be visible to all at that moment.

I strongly feel the first proposition is a boon for PVP and would stimulate the game. The second is just an idea to be kicked around. I wonder if Matt is reading this?

Technically its reading because the series is in mandarin chinese. Im watching the entire series of Three Kingdoms done in all mandarin w english subtitles. This is all thanks to playing a game called romance of the 3 kingdoms on ps2 and pc for almost 8 years.  ::) Im super nerdy about the. part history part myth part cultural legacy that is the period following yellow turban rebellion.  Its over 90 episodes and i am on episode 81. The acting is superb

On occasion, i get messages in my inbox reguarding a new spawning of an NPC. This is pretty neat as it can help me plan lengthy zeus attacks however it is always an npc that is in a specific part of g5 that is very far from my warpgate.Does anyone understand this geographic selection? can the parameter be changed to a different location?

Whenever i find myself picking a part a poorly written movie and ask why is this so and that so and that is impossible and why did they do this? The answer is always: Because it is written into the script.  I dont get why the initial deploy of the titan has to be so expensive. Seems that could be an easy fix. Sending a loaded titan out into the universe should not be that difficult and if it were changed, it would encourage PVP

With that response from BFG, i can see more YNC alliances popping up. (top player starts up a super alliance offering free dsp and och)

Great suggestion, i would love an app. I take my game with me and play from my phone most of the time and anything to make the game smoother on a mobile device would make me happier.

No, on the contrary this has given the game lots of spark. YNCC, if you only knew how many people are buzzing about your alliance now. Love it or hate it, it has renewed discussion and activity in the game.  It is a gentle reminder that rank is not everything. I have never been a huge fan of sharing dsp with probes. It seems like unearned DSP but that is my personal opinion. Keep it up and make the game fun. Dont worry about the naysayers.

As for the graveyard of "I" s?

There has always been players coming and going. I remember even when i was in cadets that there were big players going I and i am sure that 2 years ago there were players griping and complaining foretelling that this universe will soon be kaput.  Dont believe everything you hear and half of what you see.

I have no problem with Yncc and the alliance. It has made it more difficult to rank up but that is a petty concern in the long run. That superalliance has no bearing on my game at all. It seems to be human nature perhaps, i have seen it so much in this game over the months/years. Players who are frustrated for whatever reason climb to the highest building and trash this game and lay out the argument to quit in droves.  Players come and players go, its better to be like the water that carves the grand canyon and just be patient. Im certainly in no hurry to make the top 50. Just glad to be here and have my fleet intact...
