The problem is that if you are trying for a ninja on one planet when the target is going to another, you just lost your ninja. You would need a PERFECT lock since all BFG attacks happen at the instant.
So if player a was going to planet A then to Planet B, you see him and send your fleet to "Ninja" him at Planet A, you can ONLY get him if he lands at the exact moment that you do. Which NEVER happens in BFG universe.
You wasted Hydro, a Ninja chance since your fleet can now no longer get back home and reach the next destination that fleet is going to.

Also What happens if they cancel / recall the fleet? does it go back to A if it was going to B at the time of the recall? Or does it go back to A the original starting location?

Nuke him back to the stoneage. And if you are not near him planetwise, I would drop a colony spot there just to do such.
If he has multiple planets in that system, Build up the Proms and the Ares and visit him at a loss to you to reduce his defenses. But BFG might consider that harassment.

So make sure when you launch he has ships there to kill, then if he lifts them, it wasn't harassment. :)

I like keyboard warriors... They are frequently all bark and no bite.

Feature Suggestions / Re: Some ideas...

1 and 2 I personally suggested in the SFC forums years ago when they asked for users thoughts on what can be done to improve the game.  Note I also suggested the Starbase and the Zeus Mark II Star Killer...

I don't hate 1, although my suggestion was that the troops could damage your mines, so mine production would drop until a repair droid was activated on the planet. These would cost a good chunk of change and will repair buildings and mines in an order of your choosing, and it would cost res to do repairs, ala Starcraft.
To combat these troops, mines and buildings could mount turrets or have troops meant to battle incoming troops. Yes I thought that ala Starship Troopers, there could be drop zones that your forces could fire upon as the troops dropped. Higher your tech, the more troops you killed.

2 is the starbase option, I saw it as a center base that anyone in the alliance that wanted to dock at HAD TO donate a fixed amount of res to the center base. They could then purchase their own ARM of the starbase to be built. That arm would have weapons, defenses, supplies, (res) and other things stored there. At the ultimate level, you could use it as a warp gate as well.
If enough alliance members got together, they could build engines on the starbase and it could move albeit very slowly.

3 I am not a fan of, Slowing down my attacks on you seem like a great way for people to lose fleets.... The timing in this game is set a certain way so that once you launch, an attack can be slowed down, but not sped up but that is ONLY possible if done by the attackers. Also I have a problem with someone controlling my fleet, I think it is a bad idea for some mysterious defense you have on your planet to be able to slow down 50,000 incoming attack ships. And in no case whatsoever should a partial or a portion of the fleet only be slowed.

4) I do not hate this as much, maybe if it was more like a Starcraft Stasis field, so that if launched at your defenses, some of them would be taken out of the equation, but they are also 100% protected, and maybe they only miss round 1 and 2 of the battle, then the stasis wears off and they come alive again.

Coding that in Battlecalcs would be a b*tch though.

Sorry you think that way, but your idea was meant to benefit people who have played and advanced in the game. Your idea was to remove tgts from them after a certain number of hits that day.
And then you tried to connect it to the limit on hits of a player per 24 period.
People rightfully pointed out your errors in your thoughts, and you came back on and complained that how you know how the game works and you have played for so long. But your OP does not support that claim.

1) NPC's can be hit for max res until 85% of their res is gone. That is normally 3 Max hits. So there is no 6 hits per day limit on an NPC. I guess maybe it is in there if the same person hit it 6 times for 5% res each time, maybe they could then no longer hit it... I don't know, never tried it as at 5% you normally don't make the res you lost back.

2) NPC's are structured so that they are no longer hittable as you advance in the game. Higher ranked players by definition can not hit the smaller NPC's. So there is a SLEW of them that you can hit that others can not. You are hence battling players in your range that can still hit those targets. SO why limit them?

3) Telling people who responded to your ill thought out OP to "Kick some Rocks" ? That is the Pot calling the Kettle Black...

Yeah, done that before. The reason why I NEVER type in the coords by hand anymore and go to the Galaxy screen to launch...

I know someone in the alliance that did the same thing except it was a 5 person GA, and after we all joined in he yelled recall and the reason? He sent to the wrong planet. Some people had used up their Hydro so the attack was called off.

I won't name any names though.... :)

That is what many people do, use the lowest numbers from each persons AWS...
Some people will boost their W higher then someone else's A or S, and so forth. SO find out what each persons AWS is and use the lowest values across the board.
You could also use Speed Sim which accounts for each individuals AWS and fleet in the calculations.

Well if someone can hit them, they can hit them. You do not play as much as others do? So why should someone else not be able to attack an NPC all of the time they can?
If you can reach one first it is yours. If you can not, it isn't yours.
Not everyone can hit all NPC's. As you move up in rank, you can no longer hit the lower end NPC's.
Some NPC's never had ships to begin with, (Seekers) maybe you are seeing those?
Plus NPC's if they exist are there also for res. If you use the proper ship complement, you should be ALWAYS able to make a profit. At least on the big ones, it has been very long time since I could hit the little ones.

All the wiki's stop at some level, there should be a little message though that tells you the actual level can go higher and the formula that is followed.

IPBM's can go farther then 59 systems.
They just can't travel across a galaxy border. so if you are in G4 at solar 1 and you have the capability of going 48 solars, then you only benefit in one direction.

Bug Reports / Re: Activated Items not working
« on: April 18, 2012, 06:53:20 PM »
Have seen the same thing happening with the Basic res boosts as well.
Activated them on 6 planets, an ore and a crystal on each. they were removed from my items, I looked about 20 hours later and only 3 of the ores were still running.
They seemed to not last the full 24 hrs for no apparent reason.

Also the geologist text needs to have the time it lasts for added to the text portion.

Stardrift Empires Discussion / Re: Sat bashing
« on: April 14, 2012, 01:33:20 PM »
I don;'t consider Sat bashing all that bad.
If an opponent is using sats to keep his mines operating at full output, how is it wrong to slow them down by destroying the sats?
AND you get crystal out of it!
If the person doesn't build enough defense to protect the sats, then that is their problem.
It is known that equivalent Solar / Nuke plants cost far more then sats, so those people are using that res saved to build more mines or ships.
Why do you want this in your neighborhood???

Hmmm, sorry at the time you had only 2 posts. I need at least 4 posts to determine that you are a logic freak.
Please post one more time.

Feature Suggestions / Re: Delete All Oracle Scan button
« on: April 12, 2012, 10:43:19 PM »
Don't think I have ever deleted a scan...
Have no problem if they added that though. Just would never use it.

It is like this because they research you do on 1 planet works over ALL of your planets. You do not have to build Laser Tech on each planet.
If this was not like this, people could build 8-9 researches at a time and finish the entire tech tree in 2 weeks.
Plus if they did allow you to build multiple things, it would be a nightmare... What happens if someone decides to build laser 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 each on a different planet? Then they canceled one of them, lets say # 2. The others would still finish yet you skipped one of the levels.
Pretty hard to code for things like that...

Stardrift Empires Discussion / Re: Updating Alliance Membership Roles

Hahahaha, you want alliances that are full of people who are most likely friends of each other having played the game together to get to a nice rank in the game to...
DUMP the same players who got them there??? Because your alliance can't get there on it's own???
Because some players are in V mode??? And they are going to stay there for longer then YOU would like???

Wow. Just wow...

Another option is to put the res into a building that you can cancel after you merchant res.
